Serves: 1

Ingredients:
150g butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon Hansells Baking Soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup wholemeal flour
1/4 cup cocoa

Icing
1 cup icing sugar
1 – 2 tablespoons hot water

Method:
Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg. Sift the flour, baking soda, salt, wholemeal flour and cocoa into the mixture, returning the bran flakes left in the sifter from the wholemeal flour to the bowl.
Mix until combined. Using a measuring tablespoon or a small ice cream scoop, take level scoops of the mixture and roll into balls. Place on a baking paper lined oven tray, allowing room for spreading. Flatten evenly with your finger.
Bake at 180 degrees C for 10 – 15 minutes or until cooked. Cool on a cooling rack. Using a small holed piping nozzle in a piping bag, pipe an icing spider web on each biscuit when ready to use.

Icing
Mix the icing sugar and enough hot water to make a firm icing.
