Why this recipe is special:
This is an old family favourite, made up firstly by my grandma, she always had these in her biscuit tin and they are so easy to make. Go ahead give them a go!
Serves: 20+
Ingredients:
175g sugar
225g butter
3/4 can condensed milk
350g Self Raising Flour (or 350g flour and 1.5 teaspoons baking powder)
1/4 teaspoon salt
hansells essence to suit
Method:
Cream butter and sugar, then add other ingredients. Divide into small bits of flavour such as cocoa, coconut, hansells essence, chocolate chips, saltanas, currants, grated orange peel, orange essence, or any other. Bake at 150 deg for about 15 minutes.
