Why this recipe is special:
This chocolate cake is very popular in our family.
It is extremely easy to make, great for the kids to make! (with supervision)
This cake is very sturdy, perfect for shaped cakes.
It's always the requested treat!
Serves: 20
Ingredients:
2 cups Sugar
3 cups Self Raising Flour
3/4 cup Cocoa
2 tsp Baking Powder
2 Eggs - lightly beaten
200gms Butter - very soft
2 x 150gm tubs Fruit of Forest Yogurt
1 1/2 tsp Hansells Vanilla
1 cup boiling strong Coffee
Method:
Preheat oven to 180oC. Grease a large cake tin.
Sift all dry ingredients into a large bowl.
Add the rest of the ingredients, adding the eggs first and the boiling coffee last. Mix until combined.
Bake for 1hr.
Ice with Ganache
100mls Cream - approx
200gms Dairy Milk Chocolate
Melt Chocolate in a double boiler, take off heat, slowly pour in cream while stirring. Mixture will be glossy and delicious! Cover cake....
