Cheese and Pesto Pinwheels by Hansells Recipes

Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tablespoon cornflour
5 teaspoons Hansells Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
100ml Alfa One Rice Bran Oil
About 1 cup milk
1/2 cup basil pesto
6 thin slices ham
2 cups grated tasty cheese
Method:
Sift the flour, cornflour, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Mix in the oil. Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients. Quickly and lightly, mix in enough milk to make a soft dough.
Roll or lightly pat the dough out on a lightly floured board to a 23 x 32 cm rectangle. Spread the pesto over the dough to within 1cm from one long edge. Arrange the ham over the pesto. Sprinkle over half the grated cheese. Roll the dough up from the long side, like a sponge roll. Cut the dough into 3.5cm pieces. Arrange in a 23cm diameter round cake tin. Sprinkle over the remaining cheese.
Bake at 210 degrees C for 10 – 15 minutes or until lightly golden and cooked.
