Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons golden syrup
1 1/2 teaspoons Hansells Baking Soda
3 tablespoons dark chocolate baking chips
Method:
Heat the sugar and golden syrup in a saucepan over a low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Bring to the boil and boil for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent burning. Remove from the heat and add the baking soda. Mix quickly until combined and the mixture is frothy.
Quickly pour the mixture into a baking paper bottom lined 15cm square cake tin or small deep-sided dish. Sprinkle over the chocolate chips. When the chocolate has melted, drag a knife through the chocolate and hokey pokey. Leave until set then break into pieces.
